Landon Donovan leads the LA galaxy with 9 goals and 6 assists and is playing the best soccer he’s played in years…

David Beckham is finally healthy and he’s been a big reason for the resurgence of Landon Donovan… Beckham has scored 4 goals and has 5 assists but it’s been his long, trademark, bending-kicks that’ve found Landon Donovan on several occasions that has brought the LA Galaxy back to the top of the standings for the first time since 2005.

New Additions

The LA Galaxy made a couple of key additions this year that I think have really had an impact on the team this season… Mid-fielders Joe Franchino and Alvaro Pires have changed the way the Galaxy play at the mid-field… every ball is contested a and these guys are nasty and dirty and I guess the appropriate adjective would be gritty. Whatever the case, they’ve brought a certain tenacity to this team that was sorely needed…

At Goalie

The LA Galaxy decided to go with a “green” goal keeper this year and Steve Cronin has found himself out of position on more then one occasion but at the end of the day you do have to say that Cronin has kept the Galaxy in most games… Cronin has 33 saves this season and has a GAA of 1.89.
